About The Founder – Alison Mackay

Hello, I’m Alison Mackay, an Executive Coach with a focus on inclusion and leadership so that all talent can thrive. My aim is to come alongside you, helping you to find your path forward and accelerate your career with purpose and intention.

For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals to recognise their potential and achieve their goals. My experience spans across a variety of sectors, including Global tech firms, Broadcast TV, Education, Big Four consulting firms, and FTSE 100 companies. This journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the nuances involved in navigating careers for underrepresented talent within complex organisational structures, and I have spent time understanding the tools and approaches that make the real difference.

I’ve navigated challenges in my own journey, and it’s from this place of that I offer my support, working alongside you to uncover and understand challenges and develop effective strategies for moving forward.

Barrier Beaters was born from a desire to create a nurturing space where learning, coaching, and community come together to support your individual journey.
